Every heart is heavy within the Velvet Chair as we think about every soul affected by the floods in Kerrville. Of course we are dedicated to provided top notch services to our customers with gorgeous outcomes, but the thing I love the most is how we cry together, pray together and stand together with wide eyes and full hearts of love and hope for Kerrville. As I color, cut, blow dry and spray I do so with a heart full of gratitude. Each day is truly a gift. Every person I get to see and talk to is a gift. Many precious hugs, giggles, sad stories and accomplished dreams are shared here. We are a community within these walls and we welcome one another as is.

I’m proud to know that everyone who works here and everyone who visits is touched deeply by the recent events and that our biggest concern is people. Cute clothes and great hair are awesome, but they’re not essential. People, love and community are essential.
